Midland is a city located in the U.S. state of Michigan. The city is located in the Midland County, of which it functions as the seat of government. Geographically, the majority of the city’s area is situated in Midland County; however, a small percent extends into the neighboring Bay County. The Midland Township covers most areas of the city. According to the Census Bureau, Midland has a total area of 35.69 square miles. It was noted that 33.70 square miles are land, while the other 1.99 square miles are water. Furthermore, the city of Midland is included in the Flint/ Tri-Cities. Flint/ Tri-Cities is a region which is also called as the larger Mid-Michigan.
