Fall River: The Scholarship City

The city of Fall River can be found in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. Statewide, Fall River is considered as the 10th largest city. Geographically, the city lies by the banks of Mount Hope Bay’s eastern shore. It is near the Taunton River’s mouth, which is made from the confluence of Maltfield River and Town River in Massachusetts. Fall River’s greater portion is situated on the hillsides, while the rest is on the level table-land. The total area of Fall River is 40.2 square miles. Only 17.68% of the total area is water. It was also noted that the city was the only one to have had a waterfall as part of the downtown area, as far as the United States east coast is concerned. According to the United States Census Bureau, the total population of Fall River is 88, 857 as of 2010.
