The city of Portland can be located in the U.S. state of Oregon. In terms of land area, the city occupies three counties in the state, namely Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington. Aside from keeping the collections, the garden is also open to evaluating new rose cultivars. Parties from all over the world occasionally sent rose cultivars to the garden for testing of fragrance, color, disease resistance and other features.
