Understanding the Demographics in Sherrelwood

Sherrelwood is one of the places located in the state of Colorado. Sherrelwood is considered as census-designated place. These CDP or census-designated places are categorized by the U.S. Census Bureau for statistical reasons. CDPs are not included in the overall decennial census of incorporated places, such as villages, cities of towns. Even if these populated areas are identified and resemble incorporated places in terms of population, they do not have a municipal government.

Geographically, the city is within the boundaries of Adams County. The unincorporated community of Sherrelwood has a total area of 2.45 square miles. A total of 2.43 square miles is land while the other 0.02 square miles is water. The census-designated place has an elevation of 5,292 ft above sea level. In terms of population, Sherrelwood is home to a total of 18, 287 citizens, as reported by the U.S. 2010 Census.

The city of Sherrelwood is not really a big location in terms of area but the density of the place is quite impressive. One can calculate the density of a place per square mile.
