The city of Pompano Beach is located in the U.S. state of Florida. Geographically, the city is found within the borders of the Broward County. It sits along the Atlantic Ocean coast, which is on the north side of the Fort Lauderdale. The city is bordered by municipalities, including the Deerfield Beach on the north, Coconut Creek on the west, Lighthouse Point and Hillsboro Beach on the northeast, North Lauderdale and Margate on the southwest, Fort Lauderdale on the south and the Lauderdale –by-the-Sea on the southeast. The city has 3 miles of beachfront. Pompano Beach comprised a total area of 25.4 square miles, of which 24 square miles are land, while 1.4 square miles are water.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city of Pompano Beach has a total population of 100, 024 as of the year 2010. In 2012, the estimated population reached 102, 984. Pompano Beach is also part of the greater Miami Metropolitan area, which houses a total of 5, 564, 635, as reported by the 2010 Census.
