Internet and Intranet

In the most basic of terms both are different information hubs. The Internet or World Wide Web, involves the interconnectivity of many public web domains and servers accessible to anyone and everyone. Internet is public knowledge hosted on a public domain.

Where an intranet is only accessible to the members or employees of the enterprise that deployed the individualized server. Intranet is private knowledge that is hosted on a private domain.
